From the beautiful trails that lead you to High Force waterfall in Upper Teesdale to the stunning countryside of the Durham Dales, our pub is surrounded by many dog-friendly walks. That’s why we’re more than happy to accommodate for you and your dog overnight or for the day.
Dog friendly rooms
Recently named as one of the best places to stay in the UK with your dog by The Times, here at The Kingslodge Inn we offer superb dog-friendly accommodation. We welcome well-behaved dogs and pets and ask for a £15 per night supplement fee if you do choose one of these suites. This covers the charge of a special clean that these rooms have to undergo, so you can expect to be welcomed with a clean and comfortable room for you to enjoy.

We’re happy to host your dog in the gardens and in the bar area of our inn too, so you can relax together. There is a pet-friendly area in our pub, where your dog can enjoy a fresh drink of water and complimentary treats.
We proudly support local dog rescue shelter SoSad.
We’re also open to other pets too, Simply get in touch if you have any queries about this. Please bear in mind that any damage that’s not consistent with general wear and tear will be chargeable to the person responsible for the pet.
