Dogs are part of the family, which is why well-behaved pets are welcome at The Waterhead Inn at Ambleside. Tucked alongside the shore of Windermere lake and surrounded by spectacular walks and trails, look forward to a tail-wagging stay away in the Lake District with us.
Our dog friendly rooms are given a special cleansing after each use (covered by a £15 per night supplement), so you can relax knowing you can enjoy a room that has been fully sanitised and cleansed before you and your dog arrive.
Dog friendly pub
This classic Lakeland inn has spectacular views from its spacious bar and dining areas where dogs are welcome inside as well as in our beer garden. Our superb outdoor garden has plenty of room for you and your dog to take in the views and watch the boats coming and going from Waterhead Pier opposite.
Tail-wagging extra touches include water bowls dotted around the inn and dog treats for four-legged visitors on arrival.
