Set just outside one of England’s friendliest ports, The Amble Inn offers a welcoming base for discovering this much-loved seaside town and the wider Northumberland coast. Amble has quietly earned its reputation as one of the area’s hidden gems, with a characterful high street, independent food spots and a lively harbour dotted with colourful beach huts.

The surrounding landscape makes it especially appealing for walkers and nature lovers. Hauxley Nature Reserve sits nearby, while boat trips from the harbour offer the chance to spot seals basking on the shoreline, puffins bobbing along the water and, if you’re lucky, dolphins cruising offshore. It’s this mix of coastal charm and outdoor adventure that makes Amble such a fantastic place to explore.

Back at the inn, you’ll find a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in. Whether you’re stopping by for a hearty pub meal, a well-earned drink, or an overnight stay, our 30 modern bedrooms offer a comfortable place to rest after a day out. For those searching for hotels in Amble to use as a base for a Northumberland break, The Amble Inn is a place you can arrive, unwind and feel at home.
