We’ll also be offering dog-friendly rooms in Grasmere, so your four-legged companions can join every step of your Lake District escape. Simply add this option during the booking process, where up to two dogs can stay with you for just £15 per night.

  • Why has The Wordsworth closed?

    The Wordsworth has closed as it is undergoing an extensive refurbishment which will enhance guest experiences and refresh our facilities. This project will refresh our existing bedrooms, add even more comfortable accommodations, and create a cosy, relaxed dining experience.

  • When are you reopening?

    The Wordsworth is set to reopen in November, following an exciting refurbishment. Bookings are already open, so you can be among the first guests to stay at our newly refreshed inn. Start planning your next Lake District escape and book your stay now.

    Yes! We have multiple inns across the Lake District that you can visit whilst The Wordsworth is undergoing its refurbishment.
