We are reopening following an exciting refurbishment – come and see what we’ve done with the place! A Tyneside icon for more than 80 years, The Tynemouth Castle Inn is the new name for the Park Hotel.
Sitting in a commanding position overlooking the sprawling Longsands Beach, the art deco-style building has been completely renovated by The Inn Collection Group.
Offering 72 bedrooms with a mix of single, double, twin and family configurations, The Tynemouth Castle Inn also boasts a selection of suites to offer the ultimate seaside stays at one of the north east’s most renowned beaches.
Ideally located to enjoy all the attractions of one of the UK’s most cosmopolitan cities, Newcastle Upon Tyne, or for exploring Northumberland, England’s most northerly and sparsely populated county. The Tynemouth Castle Inn is the ideal base for whatever your stay holds in store.
Open all day, every day, the Inn will serve delicious pub food and well-kept drinks in a completely renovated bar and outdoor terrace. Oswins, Tynemouth’s newest fish & chip takeaway, has also opened and is serving the freshest fish around. An exciting new ice cream parlour, Cones, has also opened and visitors are enjoying delicious icecream classics, quirky flavours and so much more, no matter the weather!

Dog Friendly at The Tynemouth Castle Inn
Surrounded by superb beaches, green spaces and promenades just made for strolling, The Tynemouth Castle Inn is a dog friendly pub where you and your four-legged friend can stay and relax side by side for drinks and dining.
While some areas of Tynemouth and neighbouring Whitley Bay have seasonal dog restrictions, there is still plenty of beach space for dog-friendly walkies. And after racing along the sands and frolicking in the waves, happy dogs can flop down alongside their owners and dream about their seaside adventures, either in our dog friendly restaurant or while soaking up the rays in our beer garden.
