The Lancashire Witches Walk is a long-distance trail that brings together the beauty of the countryside and one of the most compelling stories in English history. Stretching for 51 miles from Barrowford to Lancaster Castle, the route follows the path taken by the Pendle witches as they were led to trial and execution in 1612.

As you walk, you’ll uncover landscapes rich with folklore — from the shadow of Pendle Hill to the banks of the River Lune - and encounter ten sculptural waymarkers, each etched with words from Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy’s specially commissioned poem. More than a walk, it’s a journey of remembrance and reflection, celebrating Lancashire’s resilience and its enduring connection to the past.
