Our quaint Grasmere accommodation is the perfect alternative to staying in a hotel in the Lake District. The Swan has more services than self-catering, and it is a laid-back place to stay — ideal for exploring the Lake District with its many attractions and stunning scenery.
A complimentary full English breakfast is included in room rates (unless specified when booking).
Dog-friendly rooms are available, subject to a pet supplement of £10 per dog, per night. Guide dogs are welcome for no additional fee.
Guest check in is from 3pm until 11pm and check out is from 7.30am until 10.30am.
Please note: A non-smoking policy operates in all of our bedrooms, bar and dining area.

The Swan is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Some rooms are accessible via a ramp at the rear of the inn through the car park which is on a slight incline.

Choose from our 38 en-suite rooms with king-size, twin, family, wheelchair accessible and single room options available as well as designated dog-friendly rooms.
Upgrade to an Executive Room where you can take in the views across the inn’s beautiful gardens to the fells beyond, or treat yourself to a Feature or Four Poster room with a beautiful, canopied bed.
Interconnecting rooms are available, as are family rooms that can accommodate two adults and two children under 12.
Bedrooms with full wheelchair access along with a wet room, alarm strings, wider doors and grab rails in the bathroom are also available with twin bed or king-size bed options.
