The Temperance Inn offers pet friendly accommodation in Ambleside and the Lake District where well-behaved dogs are always welcome. All our pet friendly rooms undergo special cleaning after each use (covered by a £15 per night supplement), so you can walk into a clean and cosy room that you and your dog can enjoy together. What’s more, dogs are welcome in our bar and dining areas so they can be by your side while you enjoy a drink or dine.

Find water bowls dotted around the inn, a handy outdoor doggy shower for washing off happy but muddy paws and tums. Forgotten something? We have spare leads and pet bowls behind the bar and our dog-friendly team are always happy to help.
