North East Tourism silver award for The Amble Inn

The Amble Inn has won Silver in the North East Tourism Awards in the New Tourism Business category!

The eagerly awaited awards were announced yesterday (23/04/2020) via a virtual online event. The New Tourism Business Award is a new category for 2020 and The Amble Inn were shortlisted alongside some fantastic North East entities – Maldron Hotel Newcastle, Shepherds Retreats, Spanish City and Stack Newcastle.

The Amble Inn opened January 2019 and is located in the popular seaside town of Amble, at the gateway to the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the town’s popular harbour village, the RSPB seabird sanctuary of Coquet Island and spectacular Druridge Bay.

Each of the shortlisted businesses went through a thorough judging process, focused on experiencing their offer first-hand. As well as being evaluated by a judging panel made up of industry experts, planned visits by judges or ‘mystery shoppers’ helped to inform the final decisions.

Paul Brown, Operations Manager, said: “As a new tourism business, especially in these current challenging times, it really does mean so much to us to have won silver in such a prestigious celebration of the cream of the crop of North East tourism businesses. It’s a real credit to the team there who have worked so hard to become such an integral and successful part of Northumberland’s tourism offer and to locals alike.

“We are looking forward to the day when we can welcome everyone in once again to The Amble Inn to celebrate this fantastic achievement with us. In the meantime, please join us wherever you are and raise a glass to The Amble Inn and our outstanding team.”
