The Red Walk- A slightly longer trail of 1 hour 30 minutes, this walk takes you on a steep ascent through the beech wood, the route winds its way through a variety of forest habitats with great views over the Tees Valley.
The White Walk- The ultimate walk of Guisborough Forest, this 2 hour 30 minutes circular trail includes a moderate steep climb and takes in forestry and farmland. It then meanders past the Hanging Stone, from which a small detour gives rewarding views over Teesside and the coast. Plus, this trail also passes by the Blue Lake which used to store the water to pump hydraulic machinery at Home Farm.
Middlesborough Golf Club
Founded in 1908 this course is situated 5 miles south of Middlesborough centre, offering stunning views of Cleveland Hills. This course has many attractive and challenging holes that will test all levels of skill and takes advantage of natural ravines and undulating land.

The Course
Middlesborough golf course is an 18 hole course with stunning views of the Cleveland Hills. The course was designed by James Braid, a Scottish professional golfer, who won 5 open championships.
Founded in 1908 Middlesbrough Golf Club was originally based at Saltersgill Farm, until 1938 when they moved to the present location. The course was officially declared open in April 1939, later in 1990 new holes were laid through acquired woodland, giving the present layout.
Guisborough Priory
The ruins of this priory are dominated by the skeleton of of the 14th century church's east end. The priory was founded in about 1119 and endowered by the powerful Norman lord Robert 1 de Brus.
There are guided tours available for Guisborough Priory, the tours are free of charge. They offer a range of different group tours, all tours start at 2pm and last approximately 1 hour.
