‘Snow’ better way to raise funds for Alzheimer’s

The Commissioners Quay Inn staff unleashed their inner elf before Christmas by dressing up for the charity’s Elf Day, which raises money to support people with dementia and their families.

General manager of The Commissioners Quay Inn Daniel Evans said: “We would like to say a very big thank you to all our staff who got into the spirit to take part for such a worthy cause and to our big hearted customers who dug deep to support us.

“All too many of us has or knows of a loved one who has dementia. With someone developing it every three minutes, dementia is the number one cause of death in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It doesn’t discriminate, it has a huge impact on families everywhere, and currently there’s no cure. It’s the biggest health challenge we face today. Which is why The Commissioners Quay Inn team were keen to do our bit to help beat dementia.”
