Taking place on 18 and 19 September at The Ambleside Salutation Hotel from 10.00am until 5.00pm, The Inn Collection Group will be looking to recruit assistant managers, housekeeping staff, front of house team members, chefs of all levels, maintenance and kitchen porter positions for The Ambleside Inn, formerly The Queens in Ambleside and The Coniston Inn, previously The Waterhead Hotel, in Coniston.
News of the recruitment event comes following the appointment of general managers husband and wife team John and Anita Dodsworth at The Coniston Inn and John Cecchini at The Ambleside Inn.
Former music industry chief John Cecchini has over 30 years’ experience in the licence trade. He said: “The opening of The Ambleside Inn will be superb news for the area. It’s a real opportunity for people to be part of a close-knit team that supports and invests in its staff and developing a culture to give our customers great fresh food, great drinks with great service and quality bed and breakfast to boot. I’m looking forward to creating somewhere I would want to go for a day and night as a customer with a great team.
“I’m very proud to have been entrusted with the reins to the Group’s first pub with rooms in the beautiful Lake District. I am very honoured and look forward to doing this shoulder to shoulder with an inspirational team of people and now is the chance for people to come forward and be part of our journey.”
Joining The Inn Collection Group from pub company Greene King, Anita Dodsworth said: “We are so passionate about what we do having worked in pubs together for over 20 years. You can’t do this without a good team and we’re looking forward to building that team and becoming part of the community in such a fabulous place.”
Both the 30-bedroom The Ambleside Inn and the 42-bedroom The Coniston Inn will open later this year, following the completion of multi-million pound refurbishment works at both sites.
In keeping with The Inn Collection Group model, both inns will be open 365 days a year providing value-for-money accommodation, quality drinks including local real ales and serve homemade pub food from breakfast until 9pm.
Recently named Best Pub Employer in the 2019 national Publican Awards, the group is looking forward to beginning its Lakes recruitment.
