New look Offshore gives Something to Look Forward To

The Inn Collection Group’s newest pub with rooms is giving people with cancer and their families Something to Look Forward To in 2024, as part of a partnership with the charity website of the same name.

Opening with fanfare in mid-March, Offshore has brought the inn style of venue that The Inn Collection Group offers to the South Promenade of St Anne’s on Sea and is the fourth of the group’s inns to offer these morale-boosting breaks.

The partnership originally began back in October 2023, with the pub with rooms operator donating a pair of two-night, dinner bed and breakfast stays per month to the charity, which have then been gifted to applicants via an online process.

Allowing recipients, the opportunity to spend time in some of the UK’s most picturesque locations, Bassenthwaite’s The Pheasant Inn, Grasmere’s The Swan and The Ullswater Inn at Glenridding have been the other venues to host stays as part of the partnership.

Continuing into 2024, the offering from The Inn Collection Group will expand, with further stays set to be offered at selected sites through the service.

Launched in 2015, ‘Something To Look Forward To’ improves the quality of life for cancer patients and their families by providing gifts, experiences, and essentials, helping to relieve the financial burden associated with cancer treatment.

It aims to promote well-being, relieve stress and aid the recuperation of those who are experiencing the effects of cancer and its treatment, together with their families allowing those affected to focus on rest, recuperation, wellbeing, and positive memory building.

Adopting a holistic approach, the service offered by ‘Something To Look Forward To’ leads to more positive outcomes for people affected by cancer, with a sense of well-being enabling people affected by cancer to lead as normal and active life as possible both during and after treatment.

A total of six stays were offered at Offshore ahead of the reopening, with all being requested and allocated within hours of applications opening.

Commenting on the support of Something to Look Forward To, The Inn Collection Group’s PR and communications manager Andrew Robson said: “Our main goal as a hospitality group is to make people happy and when the team at Something to Look Forward To first approached us we were very keen to support.

“Since last October we’ve been able to offer stays at three of our inns across the Lake District and we’re delighted to open up further nights away at our newest venue, Offshore, this spring.

“We hope that the fresh sea air and views overlooking the St Anne’s foreshore prove to be just as well received by those staying with us.”

Holly Kingsley Relationship Development Manager; Something To Look Forward To said: ‘We are thrilled to partner with The Inn Collection Group, the stunning venues in beautiful locations offer people affected by cancer and cancer poverty space to break from the unrelenting world their illness brings and reconnect as people other than patient/carer.

“It allows for rest, relaxation, and opportunity to create positive memories at a time its most needed. It can also be empowering for beneficiaries in giving back to those who support them.

“The attention and care everyone throughout the Inn Collection Group has shown in supporting the charity’s aims and most importantly to guests who come to stay, has been truly magnificent and we are both grateful and proud to partner with them, in delivering these beautiful – and important – experiences’.
