The Ambleside Inn – formerly The Queens hotel in Market Place, Ambleside, will officially open on Monday December 2nd at 12 noon following a multi-million pound refurbishment by owners, The Inn Collection Group.
The newest pub with rooms venue in the Lake District, The Ambleside Inn will also become the group’s first Lakes inn to open its doors.
General manager John Cecchini said: “We’re cock-a-hoop to announce our official opening date. We have a brilliant team in place following an amazing response to our recruitment campaign who are as excited as I am to reveal the transformation of this stunning building to our new customers. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone in – muddy boots, bikes, families and dogs included!
“From then on in, we will be open all day, every day for homemade food, drinks as well as cosy and comfy new en suite rooms with striking fell views, right here, in the heart of Ambleside.”
He added: “There is a real sense of anticipation building around The Ambleside Inn’s opening from the community including fellow businesses and neighbours who have welcome us with open arms. The feedback and messages of support we’ve received have been fantastic – people are really looking forward to us opening.”
Chris Moor is western operations manager for The Inn Collection Group, which was named Best Pub Employer of up to 500 employees in the national Publican Awards earlier this year.
He said: “We are looking forward to being open for business and to welcoming people living and visiting Ambleside and the Lakes in to enjoy a very warm welcome.
“As a group, The Ambleside Inn’s opening is a landmark one, marking our first venue to open in the Lake District, which has long been a prime focus destination for our company. The Ambleside Inn will join our portfolio of stunning pubs with rooms in some of the most sought-after locations in the north, including the Northumberland coast, North Yorkshire and Durham.”
The Ambleside Inn will be open 365 days a year providing value-for-money accommodation, quality drinks including local real ales from Keswick Brewery, Hawkshead Brewery and Cumbrian Legendary Ales and serve homemade pub food from breakfast until 9pm.
