The Inn Collection Group are helping to spread Christmas cheer in the Lake District in 2022, with donations towards this year’s Ambleside Christmas Lights via The Ambleside and Temperance Inns.
Joining with an array of local businesses, the pubs with rooms operator’s Lake Road sites are helping to ensure the picturesque town is once again bathed in the glow of festive lights and that the gala switch-on day ends with a bang through a spectacular fireworks display.
Taking place on Saturday 19th November, it will be the first time since 2019 that a switch-on event has taken place due to Covid enforced cancellations in 2020 and 2021.
Offering a full day of activities for families, the lights begin to shine around 16:30 with a Santa-led lantern parade around the centre, turning on the illuminations as it progresses.
After completing its tour of the circular route, festivities move to Rothay Park where the fireworks will bring proceedings to close from 17:30.
In addition to a financial contribution from The Ambleside Inn and Temperance Inn, the group’s The Regent Hotel has also played its part having offered storage space for the lights and decorations ahead of the events.
It is one of many initiatives that the kind-hearted Newcastle-based firm are supporting this festive season, with details of further events and celebrations being supported to come in the coming weeks.
Chris Moor, operations manager at The Inn Collection Group said: “We love to celebrate Christmas in style and while we’ve always been known for our amazing decorations, this year we’re delighted to be supporting displays that our whole communities can enjoy.
“It’s the first time in three years that Ambleside has been able to kick off its festivities as it would like to and we thought it important that we support the event and play a part in spreading some magic.
“We’re all looking forward to a great day and welcoming guests into the Inns throughout.”
